codeismycanvas<p>A new release of the schemdraw package for Python adds functions for drawing "pictorial schematics", where the circuit elements are drawn as realistic icons, set up via code! Some basic pictorial circuit elements are included (resistors, LEDs, capacitors, breadboard, etc.), but it can also import and draw part files in the Fritzing format as shown here.</p><p>Happy circuit drawing!</p><p><a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/schemdraw" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>schemdraw</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/python" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>python</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/electricalengineering" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>electricalengineering</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/schematic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>schematic</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/circuit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>circuit</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/fritzing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fritzing</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/breadboard" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>breadboard</span></a></p>
codeismycanvas<p>Version 0.18 of <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/schemdraw" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>schemdraw</span></a>, the <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/python" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>python</span></a> library for drawing electrical schematics and flowcharts, was published today. The two main new features are:</p><p>1) Through a little context-manager magic, elements no longer need to be explicitly added to a drawing. Just instantiate each element within the `with` block context (see screenshot).<br>2) Flowchart blocks automagically expand to fit their text.</p><p><a href="https://schemdraw.readthedocs.io/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">schemdraw.readthedocs.io/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p>Happy circuit drawing!</p><p><a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/schematic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>schematic</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/circuit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>circuit</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/electricalengineering" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>electricalengineering</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/electronics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>electronics</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/flowchart" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>flowchart</span></a></p>
