Accidentally found the death record for my 3x-great grandfather Cruz Montaño, who died of "cerebral congestion" in January 1871 at ~50 years old in Miraflores, Baja California Sur,

First time I see his parents listed, Nicolas Montaño and Gertrudis Carrillo, whom I suspected to be related but had no proof.

Nicolas married again and his second wife was a third cousin to both him and the late Gertrudis. The marriage info shows both family trees.
