The more I work on my novel, the more I understand. The problem? Comparing my work to other novels. Their writing is laborious in delivering detail, or doesn't create believable characters. The subject is something I'm familiar with & they have a high school understanding. Is the real problem that publishers take work from authors with strong followings instead of quality writing? I can't worry about any of this. I just have to write what I write. #writers
