Good morning everyone. There is wide spread destruction across the state of Missouri. Multiple tornadoes ripped through our area. We have trees down and hail damage. I haven't been able to access how severe on the roof but the cars have countless dents. We're all safe, that's all that matters. The power has been off since 9pm last night so I hope it's back in soon. I've heard it might be three days.
Stay safe everybody and have a good day.
@That_One_Guy dang I'm sorry. Glad you're okay.
@vextaur
Arnold has multiple tornadoes touch down apparently.
@That_One_Guy Yeah, I heard that. I'm actually heading out to work shortly, doing a Fairview Heights to Belleville run, wonder what I'll see out there.
Good to know y'all safe, hope everyone else in #stl is
@vextaur
You too.
I've only spoke with people as far as Columbia, IL and they are without power. Probably for multiple days.
@That_One_Guy glad everyone is safe, when able to do so, start taking photos..
@Rasta
There isn't much down by me and it's really depressing looking at our cars. They'll get repaired but it's a pain in the ass. The real damage to Arnold is on the other side of town. Whole trees are blocking the roads.
@That_One_Guy That's terrible. We know that helpless wait. Hurricane Fiona took so many trees down that there was nowhere we could go .. all roads and highways were blocked for a long time
@That_One_Guy Glad to hear y’all are safe!
@That_One_Guy
Glad you and your loved ones a safe. I hope the power gets turned on soon. Stay safe.
Oh no. I'm thankful you're all safe. I hope the storms have all passed through so that crews can work on getting power restored.
@Sharonbw
Good morning Sharon. Electricity would be nice. Teenage girls don't really function well without it. No WiFi, no phone charger, and no flat iron to straighten hair.
I'm heading out to work in the yard. Plenty to do out there.
I'm glad to hear you're safe. Good luck to you and I hope your power comes back on soon.
@joyce
Thank you.
@That_One_Guy holy crap stay safe!
@That_One_Guy I'm so glad you are safe but sorry to hear about wind and hail damage. I hope your power comes back on soon (3 days is too long...).
@kateiacy
Its going to be difficult.
@That_One_Guy what do y’all need now?
@gentlegardener
Electricity would be nice but for now trying to find some food.
@That_One_Guy hoo boy. are you in the area with the water main break also? I’ll look for food popups or shelters. Roads closed? State of emergency it appears.
@gentlegardener
It's hit and miss. Six tornadoes ripped throughout the area. It's fine seven miles away but a disaster zone in my town. Luckily all our utilities have been restored.
@That_One_Guy glad y’all are safe and have utilities.
@That_One_Guy our power finally went out last night. I just finished firing up the generator and ran an extension cord over to my elderly neighbor so he could keep some basics working too. The entire area is without power. No ETA.
It sucks about your roof and cars but I’m glad it was limited to that. That was one of the worst storms I have ever been through. It was super scary.
@That_One_Guy what do you need this morning?
@gentlegardener
Someone to give the dogs a bath. They're filthy with mud. Our bullypit lays in every puddle.
@That_One_Guy know that mud dog look. Storms headed here in Virginia now. Mama mocha mini Aussie wants in the house because she doesn’t like the wind rattling the tin roofs here on the farm. No rain yet. Warmer outside than in the house so opened up. Always ominous in March to have humid warmth in early am.
No virtual dog grooming available, sadly.
bribe teens to do it? Aka allowance for chores…
@gentlegardener
She'd wash them for free if she was here. I'll get her from her friends later and offer some cash.
