It is a rare occurrence but it does eventually snow in #Houston, once or twice a decade or so. Only happens when there is just the right timing of a strong arctic front dipping far to the south with overriding moisture. This was one of those times, got about 3 inches (7.5 cm) of the fluffy stuff here on the north side of the metro area last night.
@Trilobyter Are the streets icy or just wet?
@bosquebill just wet, what little stuck to them overnight when the snow was coming down thickest melted this morning. SE TX drivers don’t have experience with icy roads, and I imagine bridges & overpasses may be iced up still. Best to just stay home & take photos till it all melts (that’s my plan anyway).
