As someone who interprets language for a living, no one is interpreting anything except those who insist that his words don't mean what they say. He said "bloodbath"; he meant "bloodbath." Full stop.
Not quite: while you're interpreting, take at look at @GottaLaff's thread about #Trump's admiration for #Hitler in 1996. The only criticism he makes is that Hitler didn't go far enough.

Besides which, it’s an established pattern. He threatened violence in 2019–said his tough supporters, if he were not re-elected, would take the country to a “very bad” place. Did it again as an ex-prez, saying there would be “death and destruction” if he were indicted.
They are threats. Explicit threats of violence. Multiple threats.

Yikes. Goldberg needs a 101-lesson on rhetorical tactics of strongmen.
Trump (like so many dictators before him) infuses everything with violent rhetoric. EVERYTHING. It's a very distinctive, time-tested way to fuel violence amongst a populace.
Even if someone hadn't figured this out before Jan. 6 ... the fact that Trump continues to infuse everything w/ violent rhetoric even after it was proven his words inspire violence ... is ALL the proof anyone should need.
@cindyweinstein @GottaLaff Why is anyone publishing anything at all by Jonah Goldberg, the guy who wrote a book called Liberal Fascism about how Democrats are going to force you to eat tofu JUST LIKE HITLER DID but that extrajudicial executions and torture are not fascist at all? This guy is notoriously delusional in thinking that literal bloodbaths are fun and cool and democracy in action while the real bloodbaths are libraries in schools and pleather.

Either way, trump is a looser that no one should vote for.
If he was talking about business, he was incoherent and nobody understood him. Not someone you would want protecting your livelihood.
