For people having problems with #suspend in #Dell #Latitude 5490 and other 54XX, I wrote a blog post about how I fixed it. I have read multiple Ubuntu Forums, Arch Forums and Reddit posts on how to fix it and have aggregated all the solutions in once place. Following all these successfully solves all of this. @hemish It's almost surely only `mem_sleep_default=deep` which fixes the problem.
Basically it seems your BIOS advertises your system supports S0ix, but for whatever reason it works awfully for your machine under Linux.
The parameter above sets the default sleep mode to "deep", which is S3 sleep, where the BIOS takes care of sleeping the hardware components (on S0ix the Os does it).
