@kkarhan @bookstodon yeah! I definitely consider kindle problematic. I think when I replace my lost kindle I might go for a different brand like Onyx. They make an android-based reader that can sync books using next loud and my Kindle books if i download the Kindle app.
@evanpeterjones @kkarhan @bookstodon@a.gup.pe are there any ebook readers on the market that have the nice matte surface and e-ink like Nook and Kindle paperwhite? The only thing that keeps me with my Nook Glowlight is how power efficient it is, and that I don’t have to stare at an LCD screen. That kills my poor eyes. The glowlight feels more like a flashlight on paper than a backlit screen.
@la_marteau @evanpeterjones I have a Kobo Libra precisely for the e-ink with completely optional backlight feature. I despise Amazon and really wanted something to read ebooks on that didn't wear my brain out like reading on my phone screen. Kobo definitely provides that for me! It holds a charge forever, is very easy to use, has great integration with Overdrive/Libby, and some of the newer models do audiobooks as well.
@evanpeterjones @nostoat ooooh, Libby integration would be AMAZING. I’m definitely going to look into this, thank you!
