Finished reading the #book #Homegoing by #Ghanaian #YaaGyasi the other night. She is a great storyteller and writes with an extraordinary sophistication about simple situations. However, I must confess my dislike, despite all the learning and provoked critical thinking it brings with it. Indeed the high and consistent doses of violence, torture, disgraces, desperation in every chapter (except for 2 out of 14) are definitely not my cup of tea. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/27071490
