Dear @Tuba
I'm stuck getting Tuba started on #Ubuntu
I get the error message:
"Error while searching for user accounts
If you didn't manually cancel it, try creating a #password keyring named "login" using Passwords and Keys (#seahorse) or KWalletManager"
Clicking Read More does the same as Close: the app shuts down
I've created a keyring in seahorse called 'login' and put my password in there under 'Mastodon'. I still get the same error
@rq4c Hello
Could you run it from the terminal and send me back the error?
If it's the flatpak, you can run it with `flatpak run dev.geopjr.Tuba`
Could you also give me a bit more info about your setup:
- Is it a specific Ubuntu flavor other than the main one? And is it running the desktop environment it came with?
- Did you install Tuba as a flatpak, snap or from your distro package manager?
- Can you try this? https://github.com/GeopJr/Tuba/wiki/libsecret-issues
Thank you @Tuba
After all these years, how could I not think to run it in a terminal
I installed it as a snap.
The error output includes,
"SecretAccountStore.vala:46: Error while searching for items in the secret service: An AppArmor policy prevents this sender from sending this message to this recipient;"
Rather than digging into the snap AppArmor profiles and trying to find the right bit to correct, I have installed flatpak and will try installing Tuba from there...
