A wonderful 36 hours in Oxford for #BSECS2023. Energised by the research and conviction of friends colleagues. After an exhausting 2022 and a tiring Christmas “break” I feel like I have had a mini holiday. Or as a friend I haven’t seen for a long time said to me today “I met myself” again for the first time in a while. Here’s to us all meeting ourselves whenever we can.

Very happy to have been involved in this fabulous project.

Many congratulations to Prof Andrew Kahn and Dr Kelsey Rubin-Detlev!

Fabulous #BSECS2023 roundtable on "Thomas Gray among the Disciplines", highlighting the many strands of Gray's scholarly engagements and the ways in which the unpublished scholar still managed to inscribe himself into the many knowledge networks he participated in.

@BSECS #c18th

It's day 1 of #BSECS2023! Looking forward to (4) "Homeward-bound? Between Britain and the Caribbean in the Eighteenth Century" and (18) "Thomas Gray among the Disciplines".
