🦞 Dear friends of the dispersal,

Here and there we are in our #comfortable zones/bubbles and blabbering into a void of one sort or another. Here we are not sorted by ad propaganda but our #preferred #interests:

#HathaYoga #ChiKung #Tasawwuf #PostQuantumComputing #AntiGravity #Rasayana #Merton #Wandsworth #London #HealthyNutrition #WildFlowers #Gardening #TaoOat #TotalRelaxation #PuppyLinux #ManjaroLinux #Mantrayana #Futurism #YinYana #Nasrudin

Of course most of us like #humour
cute #kittens, interesting people facts and places. Many of us go to strange new instances and badly go where know won has gorn b4. Some will end up on the near #shore for sure. For us #Buddhists that is not so far. Supported as we are by a raft of #practices

In the words of my favourite #GNU Guru “What's the plan?” :thinkSpin:

It's here!

There's a couple of small adjustments to be made, and it will be out in a few days!

Calligraphy by Giankarlo Huback in my coming book, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐣𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 :

Jìn (劲): on the left side, jīn, the archaic form of “channel”, phoneme conveying a sense of flux; on the right, strength: power lì 力 that stretches jīng 经, that follows a line of transmission.

Jìn is a fundamental concept in Taijiquan - it is what makes the power one develops in Taijiquan different from the strength one can get by lifting weights, for example.

If one is willing to let go some of our cultural assumptions - for example, that analyzing (breaking things apart to look inside) is the one and only possible enquiry line - with enough practice it becomes clear that Taijiquan is a movement science, where the body is seen as a wholesome unit.

Here you see Master Chen Yingjun demonstrating the Single Whip posture. Check out how his chest is relaxed and empty, and his stance looks dense and heavy, transmitting an impression of stability and calmness.
