Jony Ive o Apple i Steve Jobsie w nowym wywiadzie dla BBC

Jony Ive, były główny projektant Apple, w rozmowie z BBC Desert Island Discs opowiedział o swojej pracy nad przełomowymi projektami i relacji ze Steve’em Jobsem.

Ive przyznał, że wciąż zastanawia się, co zrobiłby Jobs, mimo że ten odradzał mu takie myślenie. Wspominał też pierwsze doświadczenie z Macintoshem oraz projektowanie iMaca, którego przezroczysta obudowa miała dla klientów większe znaczenie niż specyfikacja.

Podkreślił, że innowacje mogą mieć nieprzewidziane konsekwencje, ale cieszy się z pozytywnego wpływu swoich projektów.

Ive potwierdził, że pracuje nad nowym urządzeniem AI we współpracy z OpenAI, choć nie ujawnił szczegółów. Stwierdził, że po raz pierwszy w karierze czuje się „zainspirowany możliwościami technologii” w takim stopniu.

Po odejściu z Apple w 2019 roku Ive założył firmę LoveFrom, współpracującą m.in. z Airbnb, Monclerem i Ferrari.

I'm of the opinion that all bands or artists have one good song in them. And quite a lot of them will produce a decent to good first album. But the litmus test is the second one. If that's a good one, chances are they will produce some more good stuff to listen to down the road. Those are the keepers.

So, based on that idea, here's my current top 5 bands, albums and songs I recommend solely based on the fact I like them in the replies.

1. Got My Mind Made Up - Tupac. My favourite posse cut.
2. Sorrow Tears & Blood - Fela. Gotta have Nigerian music.
3. Be With You - Mary J Blige. MJB is the artist of my life. I could take any of her songs.
4. A Conversation - Ben Wishaw. This song about a man whose wife dies leaving him with the kids reminds me of when I was scared my wife would die of sickle cell.
5. Agadoo - Black Lace. I hate this song, but it reminds me of my kids.
