Mister Donut at 新左營 had no old-fashioned donuts because they’re apparently introducing new flavours at the start of October. I hope my favourite strawberry survives

Pie Face opened their first stores in Japan in late 2015 and for years had four stores across various cities, with the one in Kyoto Station being an extension on the front of the Mister Donut.
At the end of 2021 they dropped one store, then another in 2022 and another in 2023. The writing was on the wall when the renovation of the Mister Donut at Kyoto Station removed the Pie Face kiosk. Now, Pie Face Japan is no more.

Sad news from Kyoto!
My Japanese friend sends word that Pie Face will no longer be available at the Mister Donut in Kyoto Station, as of tonight
He’d always get some of their meat pies when he was passing through, and this evening he’s gone there from Nagoya just to have some, one last time! The photos he sent of the line seems to indicate he’s not the only one who’s going to miss them!
A word about "Mister Donut"... I love this place. Mister Donut is a chain of donut stores throughout Japan.
It's self serve & has some very good quality donuts. Lots of flaky, cake & mochi donuts... not the greasy, oily, sugar bombs in the more famous donut shops in America.
What's more: They have a cashier with a bill & change acceptor at checkout that makes transactions with cash/change so easy. (Cash still talks loudly in Japan)

He got a heck of a fright when I loudly yelled out 幹嘛…
If I’d had more time I would have confronted him, but I wanted to grab some Mister Donut before getting on the 台灣高鐵
My doctor says I shouldn't eat these anymore, but when I go to Japan, I have to grab a Strawberry Ring and a Choco-Fashion (an old-fashioned style donut half dipped in chocolate).
In country, known as "Mis-Doh" for short.

@tommilata I am known to be a bit of a donut fiend, a destroyer of donuts. :) The donut chats were really very good, I miss them myself, that goes with the team too 
Also, me being at Faculty is directly because of a box of donuts, so there's that.
