For my #introduction, I work in #publichistory, uploading to #Wikipedia links to #primarysources relevant to #Canada, grouped by year. It is a long-term project I call "YYYY in Canada."

The version of YYYY in Canada on historian.social samples my uploaded links to original documents regarding historical events in or affecting what is now Canada. These "events" range from wars to what's for sale in the stores. Links are grouped by year -- the YYYY might be 1795 or 1942 or whenever (to 1950).

For students studying early post Mao China and only working with English language primary sources, the United States Foreign Broadcast Information Service materials are fun way to explore events day by day in China. Over 2,500 of these daily reports from late 1970s to early 1990s are on archive.org:
