07:10 Sunday - There be snow on the ground at my house (Surrey, CN89ob, 85 m ele). I’m not sure how much, I haven’t put my contacts in yet.
I’ll be sharing other snow reports throughout the day. It’s very helpful if they include an approx time, location, and elevation.
One useful way to describe your location is to use the amateur radio QTH grid (also called Maidenhead, which is falling into disuse). It is a shorthand way to give an approximate location that (with elevation) is precise enough to be useful for #weather but doesn’t invade privacy.
07:30 Sunday - Radar indicates the heavy snow band is favouring the Point Roberts to #Vancouver to Sunshine Coast line. I don’t know if this will continue to be the case all day but should be the target zone for at least a few hours.
@ingalls I hope it stays in Canada. I have enough snow here in central Washington.
