I had an attack of GERD at the end of November last year.

I saw my PCP on December 16th. He referred me to a gastroenterologist. The appointment was Feb 28th.

Not fast, but okay.

A few weeks back, I got a message that the appointment had to be cancelled because the person I was supposed to meet was busy with some shit.

I was told they'd call me to schedule something in April or May.

Never got the call.

I called yesterday and now the lady who took my call tells me they are making the schedule for July.

For... fucking... July.

I hope not to have another GERD attack before I can finally have my appointment.

This is all happening at the "world renowned" Johns Hopkins.

Every now and then I hear some asshat declare that Canadian health care is shit, because of wait times. Yeaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh... because common folks in the US system do not experience delays... sure...

Earlier he mocked me. so also qualifies as a #MockYouBlockYou - they come in mocking the topic then block you when you go into details and behave intelligently instead of mocking back.

Has anyone found an #alt#cdc account publishing the mortality and morbidity reports paused yesterday (for the first time since 1960)?

How can we support workers at the #cdc to keep publishing? And doing external comms? Eventually you will lose your job anyway, folks.

Who is surveilling them?

Are any #publichealth #state agencies protesting what is happening at #cdc and #nih? #johnshopkins? #bloomberg?

How about #insurance companies? How do they assess risks without data?

@kkarhan Mehr Auskunft taete mich shon interesieren. Obwohl, ich ihm nicht sympathisch finde, ich glaube nicht dass Matthew Greene absichtig was falsch gemacht haette. Er arbeitet bei #JohnsHopkins mit viele fragwuerdige verbindungen, aber er war immer mehr kritisch denen gegenuber. Auch das konzept #givware ist mir fremd.

#monero und #zcash sind beide teilweise Universitaets Projekte.

A dear friend is having a family health crisis, with relatives coming from hundreds of miles away to be at the bedside of the family patriarch.

I expect to get asked to translate from medical, to give explanations and orientation. But no -- today's first text was "at least this hospital system has mandatory #masking."
