Since this looks to require a login in order to read, I'm posting the entirety of this article on #meta, (which includes #facebook and #instagram) from https://theintercept.com/2025/01/09/facebook-instagram-meta-hate-speech-content-moderation. This looks to allow for pretty broad swaths of posts that would have previously been tagged as hate speech. To be clear, based on the examples given, that's *all* this does. It's allowance for hate speech and it will simply allow FB to transform itself into a seething bigotry cesspool in the way that Twitter has done. I'm placing this behind a CW as it contains examples of hate speech that I find offensive.
