If you use either #BBEdit or #SublimeText can you please tell me if it's possible to select a paragraph of text in an html file, and then do some keyboard thingy that will make a <p> and a </p> appear magically in their respective correct places, enclosing the paragraph?

Renewed +3 years of Sublime Text and Merge.

I use 80% of time vim but if I really need GUI editor (e.g., for presenting in a meeting) I use Sublime Text (with a Vim emulation plugin). It has one single advantage over VSCode, Zed and many other modern GUI editor: OpenGL rasterizer AND a hand-crafted software rasterizer optimized for actually decent performance with zero glitches. It’s a life-saver, when the GPU driver does not work ;-)

Slightly sad that existence of syntax highlighting in Sublime is so dependent on the the theme you choose. For example, I chose Light Lite Color Scheme as it was fairly close to what I use in PHPStorm. But Syntax highlighting for many file types doesn’t exist. Today it is `diff` that is missing syntax highlighting.

Back on SublimeText for less than a week. Honestly can't really understand why I left it for VSCode in the first place. Current packages installed (theme Lyte to match PHPStorm - close):

SublimeLinter
AdvancedNewFile
BracketHighlighter
DocBlockr
Dotfiles Syntax Highlighting
EditorConfig
Emmet
FileIcons
GitGutter
Laravel Blade
Light Lite Color Scheme
Markdown
MarkdownEditing
Package Control
Phpcs
PowerShell
Pretty JSON
Tailwind CSS
Terminus
Theme - Lyte

I am done with VS Code, codium etc. Too much crap from Microsoft these days. Also trying LibreOffice again. But today it is a change... I think... back to Sublime Text. Still using PHPStorm for all my larger projects. Day to day editing of small projects, text manipulation etc, ST is pretty devent.

Someone mentiones #SublimeText a few days ago, which was my go-to editor 10 years ago. Just saw that it's still under active development, and it has some nice features now, like GPU-based rendering.

I think I'll give it a try again.

Starting to get used to the terminal based #HelixEditor by the simple expedient of not installing #SublimeText on this machine (so that I don't have access to my usual local GUI alternative).

Have also configured “bat” (colourful version of the cat command) to use the same colour scheme as the editor.

Let's compile a list of non-US based computer technologies/applications for people looking for alternatives. Here are some that I use daily:
#Obsidian MD (Canada)
#SublimeText (Australia)
#Spotify (Sweden)
#Vivaldi (Norway)
#Tuta (Germany)
#Codeberg (Germany)
#Suunto (Finland)
#Runalyze (Germany)
#Mistral (France)
#Wise (UK)
#Sync (Canada)
#Mapy.cz (Czech Rep.)
#Windy (Czech Rep.)
#Ventusky (Czech Rep.)
#Meteoblue (Germany)
#aminus3 (France)

Switched from #CotEditor to #SublimeText. Been meaning to for a while. CotEditor is really, really nice - BUT I'm sorry, when I press PGDN I want the CURSOR to move. I don't want to affect only the document location/scrolling but leave the cursor where it is. That's not what PGDN means. Move cursor. Don't leave cursor where is. Sublime Text seems to understand that.

I couldn't find where in MacOS to fix this, neither in karabiner nor kb settings nor CotEditor settings.
