Nein, weil #Dezentralität dieselben #Probleme erzeugt wie das #Fediverse, nur schlimmer weil dann garantiert irgendwelche rechtsextremen Trolle und #Neonazis dann behaupten diese würden "diskriminiert" weil deren blaubraune #Cybermobbing-Instanz rausgefiltert wird.
Wir haben das Problem schon jetzt mit #eMail, wo "#Freemailer" wie #GoogleMail / #GMail, #YahooMail & #Outlook.com / #Hotmail "#TooBigToBlock" sind und daher für > 99,9% aller #Spam-#eMails verantwortlich sind die ich je finden konnte...
In einer idealen Welt würden alle #Firmen bzw. #Arbeitgeber einfach nen Account im #Fediverse haben und unter #FediHire / #FediJobs / #GetFediHired ihre Listings mit den ensprechenden Daten posten, aber leider ist dem nicht so!
- Ich meine, @quad9dns sind eines der wenigen Firmen die dies tun, aber das macht diese zur löblichen Ausnahme statt Regel!

Worst are the "#TooBigToBlock" #Spammers like #Microsoft, #Google and #Yahoo which will instantly blackhole your mails to their customers (but not vice versa!) if you don't comply to their bs, but in return they don't even take #AbuseReports.
Same with everything registered/hosted at #GoDaddy & #NameCheap: They just refuse to act upon #Spam-Reports at all!

@ParadeGrotesque @cstross This. Mega instances are parasitizing on the smaller instances’ capacity to moderate. They can do this because they are #tooBigToBlock.

- That being said I think they are untrusted and do flex their "#TooBigToBlock" status well to hard...
Either way, I do tend to blocklist eMail Domains & phone numbers after vetting them and having actual evidence at hand to avoid "collataral damage" and overblocking...

@fuomag9 granted, @stratosphere only lists what pinged / portscanned / attacked their systems and nothing else.
Which is why I use multiple blocklists simultaneously to filter traffic.
Personally I consider #ClownFlare aka. #CloudFlare to be a #RogueISP that was allowed to become #TooBigToBlock just like #Outlook.com / #Hotmail,#GMail and #YahooMail as well as #Mailbox.org are today in terms of #eMail...

As a matter if fact, These 3 are considered "#TooBigToBlock" and that's the real problem!
This tiny instance‘s policy concerning #threads for now is: See if it becomes the badly moderated stream of shit we all expect, then suspend it with prejudice based on what cancer to mankind #facebook is.
I don‘t expect it to become #tooBigToBlock before it turns out to be full of unmoderated shit.

@django Tjaaa, das ist der Grund, warum es mich so ärgert, dass #MastodonSocial ihren Kram nicht im Griff hat, aber #tooBigToBlock ist.
Ob ich das als Downstram-InstanzbetreiberIn unterbinden müsste, würde sich sicher vor Gericht klären lassen. Und das würde vermutlich einige Privatpersonen ruinieren, egal wie es ausgeht.
Aber Hauptsache wachsen.

Microsoft literally threatened me with perma-banning - after they unilaterally and with no communication beforehand decided to just block my domain - if I were to ever sent more than 100 (!!!) eMails per 24 hours to any (!!!) of their customers combined (!!!)...
In hindsight I regret not having escalated this to @BNetzA and make a precendence against #GAFAMs and #TooBigToBlock #eMail providers...
I feel like a major missing feature in the #fediverse is back-federation of posts from newly followed accounts. It significantly disadvantages smaller and/or newer instances compared to #TooBigToBlock instances like #MastodonSocial

(Which is ABSOLUTELY FINE, I have nothing against adult content/porn!)
Unfortunately #mastodonSocial is the public face of Mastodon. Their moderators are fine with mixing safe and unsafe content and the instance is #tooBigToBlock
I'm not to follow some of the more juicy accounts there from some other instances to escalate but it crossed my mind.
This will hurt people.

@ridp Of course it could come from any badly moderated instance and I guess moderators would just write to the admins and in the end defederate.
Or silence as I do with a kinky queer instance I really appreciate but unfortunately can’t show to users of unknown age.
It’s just that #MastodonSocial is one of the largest, most publicly advertised instances and #tooBigToBlock. So it’s a shame that it is a source of such material.
IMHO it has grown to a dangerous size.
