The view from our lunch spot in Coire Mhic Fhearchair.

Nothing I've seen online prepares you for the grandeur of the place. For me, it's not just the lochan, the triple buttress, the surprise view, or the remoteness. It's everything....

Weather Report.

Not posted for a wee while as we've had a brief visit back down to Edinburgh & had pals copming to visit us up here.

A video for a change. In BW of course. Strong winds swirling on the loch created a weak water spout on the surface.

I really love the views to Beinn Eighe from Loch Coulin. Here's just a few of the many photos I took.

A scene of light playing across a rolling landscape leading to a snowy mountain in the background. Low cloud partially crosses in front of the mountain.

Very similar to the previous photo with different cloud formation and a little more sunshine.

Bright sunshine illuminates the foreground of grass and pine trees leading to Loch Coulin. In the background is Beinn Eighe again with sun and cloud on it's snowy slopes.

The foreground is Loch Coulin with a pretty good reflection of the mid and background scenery. The light casts brightly on brown grasses and heather leaving Beinn Eighe in the distance quite dark.

Wintery weather passing through. The wee cottage has an old fish landing building ruin next to it from back when there were loads of herring.

Winter Coat.

Beinn Eighe a few days back when the snow came. Rapid thaw now and a swing in temperatures of about 15°C in a short time.
