Realtime #rendering test with the #godotengine with some additionnal compositing in #blender. Kinda like how it turned out given the time frame ( 4 hours ). Textures are kind of ugly but I mostly tried to use material maker for this and I'm not quite used to tool.
Does anyone have any resources, talks or articles on managing shadow texture quality in FPS or sniper games with multiple levels of zooming?
@jonshute Yeah, baked light... well, baked anything really, has always been a workaround for inadequate runtime horsepower, and things like #Lumen, #raytracing, and whole hosts of other #realtimerendering techniques keep marching forward while compute power keeps growing (though VR is a notable detour in that progression).
It'll be neat to see people try to apply #AI to the problem of baking, e.g. by making it faster or reducing the amount that has to be done as runtime asset creation ramps up.
