Why does spatial data manipulation have to take so long...reprojecting a 5m raster of the whole of Great Britain surely can't cause too much trouble

I enjoy learning and teaching about spatial statistics. Like unhealthy-level enjoy. It comes up once a year on one of our #geoinformatics courses and I always realize something new and exciting when I am updating the slides. Tomorrow's lecture is gonna be lit!
