16BitYeti:HH::steamdeck2:<p>Also, this <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/reMarkable2" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>reMarkable2</span></a> has been SUPER HELPFUL for brainstorming on recipes. This is the web recipe that <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@AndromedaGalaxi" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>AndromedaGalaxi</span></a></span> uses but it was cut down by half its servings. </p><p>Was able to turn the page into a PDF, send it to my iPad, then wire it directly to the tablet and use it for <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/cooking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cooking</span></a> and markup.</p><p>Super awesome!!</p>
Neil Madden<p>I've updated the illuminated security <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/threatmodeling" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>threatmodeling</span></a> workbook, designed for either pen&amp;paper or <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/reMarkable2" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>reMarkable2</span></a> use. It's now a lot more detailed and with hyperlinked sections. At some point I'll get around to documenting how to use it, but if you've read <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://infosec.exchange/@adamshostack" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>adamshostack</span></a></span> 's book it should be self-explanatory. Ehay2k<p>These seem really cool, and I've read that they feel like you're actually writing on paper. I have a convertible laptop and I've found that writing on it is difficult because there's no friction between the stylus and the screen. </p><p>For me, the deal breaker on the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Remarkable2" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Remarkable2</span></a> is that you can't search on the device (or the cloud) for what you've written. That doesn't make it any better than a big notebook. </p><p>Article on <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Wired" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Wired</span></a> :</p><p><a href="https://www.wired.com/review/remarkable-2/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">wired.com/review/remarkable-2/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a><br><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/technology" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>technology</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/gadgets" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gadgets</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/tablet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tablet</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/writing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>writing</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/notes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>notes</span></a></p>

Das <a href="https://hessen.social/tags/reMarkablePaperPro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>reMarkablePaperPro</span></a> ist am Start. 16BitYeti:HH::steamdeck2:<p>Been a bit since I got my <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/Remarkable2" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Remarkable2</span></a> and I have to say, aside from the lack of a backlight, this product is pretty solid. </p><p>I don’t think it’s worth the MSRP, but if you can get one on discount it’s good if you’re a pen-and-paper kind of person.</p><p>I imported an expense tracker image (PNG) and I’ve been using it for financials; super fun!</p>
masukomi<p>I just uploaded the stand I made for my Remarkable Paper Pro. I designed this one to have a nice reading angle for transcribing my writing. </p><p>Works well as a phone stand too.</p><p>I've included a version without the icon in case you don't like that or don't have an easy multi-filament setup.</p><p><a href="https://www.printables.com/model/1210965-eink-tablet-stand" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">printables.com/model/1210965-e</span><span class="invisible">ink-tablet-stand</span></a></p><p><a href="https://connectified.com/tags/3DPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3DPrinting</span></a><br><a href="https://connectified.com/tags/RemarkablePaperPro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RemarkablePaperPro</span></a> <a href="https://connectified.com/tags/Remarkable2" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Remarkable2</span></a> <a href="https://connectified.com/tags/Remarkable" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Remarkable</span></a></p>

Simon Wolf<p>My immediate initial thought about the <a href="https://social.sgawolf.com/tags/Supernote" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Supernote</span></a> Nomad is that the software is really focused on writing notes. Compared to my <a href="https://social.sgawolf.com/tags/Remarkable2" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Remarkable2</span></a> it’s so much easier to add and delete pages, something which used to really irritate me.</p>
Frederik Elwert<p>Found out that with wine 9.20 it’s actually possible to run the <a href="https://fedihum.org/tags/reMarkable" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>reMarkable</span></a> desktop app under Linux. One can even install it with Bottles after activating the kron4ek runner. Still annoying that this is necessary, but it makes working with the <a href="https://fedihum.org/tags/reMarkable2" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>reMarkable2</span></a> much more convenient.</p>
René Schwietzke<p>I am not as happy with my <a href="https://foojay.social/tags/remarkablePaperPro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>remarkablePaperPro</span></a> as I was with my <a href="https://foojay.social/tags/remarkable2" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>remarkable2</span></a>. It is very laggy and the feel when writing is just not as good as it was before. The contrast is also lower. Hope that many things can be fixed with software updates.</p><p>No reasons to upgrade from r2.If you buy new and never owned one, the story might be different.</p><p>I had to buy a new one because my old was stolen.</p>
dotemacs<p>Handwritten Blog</p><p>Just as the name says, a blog, that is made with hand written notes.</p><p>Just stumbled up on it.</p><p>Oh and if you like the blog and want to comment, you have to do it as a hand written note (which you then email in) :) </p><p><a href="https://handwritten.blog" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">handwritten.blog</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p>By <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@nathell" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>nathell</span></a></span> </p><p> P.S. Brick Duck<p>I was recently given a used Remarkable 2 tablet, and I wanted to use it to mark up some books. But all my books are from Amazon, so I had to convert them to a Remarkable-compatible format.
