Just read a great article from WebHeads United on effective website content writing. The key takeaway? It's a blend of creative and technical skills. The post outlines a 4-step process:

1️⃣ Pre-writing: Define purpose & audience.
2️⃣ Writing: Craft compelling headlines & body.
3️⃣ Editing: Add CTAs & a content strategy.
4️⃣ Future: Embrace AI tools.

A must-read for anyone looking to boost their website's impact!

On my #linkedin feed I see a lot of viral posts about how em dash is a telltale sign of an AI-generated text.

I'm dying inside. I myself and a lot of content writers I've worked with are using it on a regular basis, so I was quite... surprised by such assumption.

Apparently, for a lot of people this is the first contact with such sign. And I'm talking about people from business and marketing spheres. I can't wrap my head around this.

Active vs. Passive Voice: The Art of Structuring Ideas Before Drafting (Free Cheat Sheet Inside!)

Let’s face it: grammar rules can feel stuffy. But here’s the deal active and passive voice aren’t about “right” or “wrong.” They’re tools. And like any good tool, their power lies in knowing when to use them.

Other made-up idioms AI Overview confidently explained were, e.g., "Never spread your Wolverine on a Sunday", "The brightest lamp smells like cheese", and "Seven fire ants for thee, only one for me".

Yes, it's funny. But it also confirms you can't trust what AI tells you. It wasn't developed to tell the truth.

Check, check, and check again.

WIRED · ‘You Can’t Lick a Badger Twice’: Google Failures Highlight a Fundamental AI FlawBy Brian Barrett

Interesting. Statista is running a free webinar on 'Navigating the Rising Risks of AI Adoption".

They say: "Recent data reveals a notable shift in public sentiment toward generative AI, with increasing skepticism following rapid adoption over 2024. What’s behind this change, and what does it mean for your business?"

Topics:

- "Why generative AI remains inherently inconsistent, despite ongoing advancements.

- The risks already arising from this inconsistency, particularly for professionals relying on AI-generated insights.

- Practical solutions to mitigate AI risks, and how Statista’s verified data approach is already helping businesses navigate these challenges."

Obviously, they're also trying to sell their services, but I'm curious about which survey data on public sentiment they're referring to and what their 'practical solutions' are.

Hoping to attend.
