Not related to the fires, of course, but one of the most memorable #triathlons I did was in a local lake, then back & forth 4 times on the 5 kilometres of pavement in town, before running twice around the cemetery. #Yellowknife is a magical place. Hope it still is in a week or 2!!

@markarayner Go look up "Hector Picard", he's a former sparky that sadly got a bit too close to some HV circuits, lost his right arm at his shoulder and is left just past his elbow.

Despite his #disability, he does #triathlons, riding an adapted #bicycle without #prosthetics.

There's a video of him successfully changing the front tube on a bicycle unassisted using his stump, his feet and his mouth.

When we diss, we miss seeing the ability.
