A Windows sysadmin tool that more people should know about is the Magic Number Database at https://www.magnumdb.com

This database is great for pasting weird Windows hexadecimal errors into and finding out what they might mean.

Example from today, I got 0x80d02002 during a Windows update. Magnumdb tells me that this result corresponds to DO_E_DOWNLOAD_NO_PROGRESS, so now I know it's probably because an update server isn't responding.

Yesterday, my VPS control panel showed 10GB/100GB. Now, it's plus 1, making it 11GB/100GB. It seems like I have little to be concerned about, and maybe I can reduce the remote data retention to only 3 to 1 day, making it more efficient. Federation isn't my main focus for my server, I think. But I prefer to have an audience that chooses to read my posts, whether they are trusted acquaintances, friends, family, or others.

I successfully renewed my VPS `vps.kupiapps.my` for RM91.00 for another 1 month. With the support of my mother, who raised me and is still raising me now, my mother unconditionally loves me, and she is responsible for taking care of us since childhood, along with my father. I hope this VPS lasts longer, maybe around a century? Hehehe. Because I love YunoHost's built-in email features. Have a nice day!

Giving #Pangolin a try…

Very first install experience:
- Installer is a #GoLang binary, which is hard to inspect
- Installer doesn’t tell you the requirements for the initial admin password before asking for it.
- Resulting Pangolin container crashes immediately at the very first attempt to start because of my password.
- There’s no —flag to force the installer to rerun everything
- It IS possible to rerun the installer after manually removing broken containers and config files.
